Sparrow, ell cliente minimalista para Mac y parece ser que ya todo está listo para liberar la versión 1.3 de esta bonita aplicación que da soporte para Lion y trae algunos cambios en su interfaz.

Posibilidad de arrastrar y soltar nuestros mails al escritorio o a aplicaciones como Things, Omnifocus, etc. Además piensan implementar el "drag and drop" de mails en las etiquetas para marcarlas más fácilmente. Sin embargo esta función aún está en desarrollo y posiblemente vea la luz en la versión 1.3.1 o 1.3.2
La adición de un botón para vaciar la papelera es parte también de este nuevo Sparrow. Otras novedades incluyen la eliminación de los efectos por completo para ganar mayor ligereza en su funcionamiento, una barra visible y un par de cositas más.
Y es que todos estos cambios tienen sentido porque rápidamente han ganado seguidores precisamente por su interfaz tan pulida y su simpleza en el uso. Ahora que viene Lion no sólo es una oportunidad para aprovechar los nuevos "features" que este OS trae consigo sino que se le viene una amenza precisamente por parte de la gente de Apple ya que le han hecho un "revamp" al nuevo cliente nativo Mail App.

• Send & Archive: one of the coolest Gmail feature now available for all IMAP accounts (Shift-Alt-D)
• Drag and Drop: select any message and simply drag and drop it to other apps and your desktop
• Hide sidebar: keep it minimal and hide your sidebar for a streamlined experience. Shit-Cmd-M or a lateral three finger swipe in the sidebar will do the trick.

• All animations have been rewritten from the ground up.
• Sidebar animations: account and category switching is faster and smoother
• Message list: we made the scroll more fluid and natural
• Window animations: we killed all window animations to make Sparrow faster and simpler
• Sidebar scrollbar: it was always possible to scroll the sidebar but we made this obvious by adding a scrollbar when you can actually scroll.
• Priority inbox behavior: now shows all Priority mails of the inbox regardless of the fact that they've been read
